Yesterday, I watched a news about job hunting. Many companies gathered and explain about their business to university students. Most of them were very enthusiastic. Some of them said that they haven't have clear ideas of their jobs yet. It time to think about mine because half of my university life has finished!!! It was very fast to pass the two years. I think I have to learn a lot of things to get a job that I want to do. This spring vacation, I will go to Australia for about a month, so I hope that I can learn many things and enjoy the study abroad.

This is my first blog in 2005!! So I want to say "A Happy New Year"!!! I wish this year will be better than last year and more people can live peacefully.
During this winter vacation, the most enjoyable event was a coming of age ceremony!!! In my hometown, ceremonies were took place in each junior high school district. However I went to private school, so we had original ceremony took place by alumni of high school. I could meet most of the friends, so it was very exciting one! We talked many hours and really enjoyed post-party party too. Every year, pictures of coming of age people who were making noise or drunken in the ceremony were on the TV screen. I worried these people appeared this year, but there were a few in this year. I think most of the coming of age did bad behavior. These people should have consciousness and responsibility as an adult. Of course, I also need to have them too...

In human rights class, I researched about "autism"(Jiheishou in Japanese). Many people have heard this name, but it is fact that most of them do not know what is autism clearly. I also didn't know about it and had wrong image to it. I thought that autistic people just built walls around themselves. However it is absolutely wrong. Surely they can't communicate with others, but their symptoms are caused by not bad treatment of parents or bully. Autism cannot be cured completely, but it is possible make it better. In order to do so, the great effort and understanding for autism of people are needed. On this occasion, I want many people know and think about this problems.

I watched "Ainori"(Japanese TV program) this week, and it was talking about hunger children in Africa. Young Japanese visited a home for orphans in Africa, and a worker told them how terrible the situation is and what caused them. It was shocking story. The poverty and hunger ware caused by us, rich countries. We have already learned about green Revolution in the class, so I know the fact. However, it is more shocked to hear the real words from who are in the real hard situation. She swore that developed countries including Japan brought the worse result that many children die everyday. It's easy to say that we must think these problem carefully and do something for them. But in fact, I do nothing... To help these people, we need take great risks, so... It's very very difficult problem. Can you take the risks to help them?

In Scott's class, we are talking about energy crisis and global warming now. Last year I researched about acid rain especially about in China. They used lots of bad quality coal and produced large amount of CO2 and SO2 . This cause serious air pollution and also cause global warming. To make it better, a Japanese company created new technology to produce energy by using coal. It is called Bio Briquette Technology. By using this, the coal produce less CO2 and SO2. In rural area, health problems caused by bad coal are very serious, but they can't change using coal because it is their custom. In addition there are a lot of coal in China. Therefore I think it is available to use these coal by using Bio Briquette Technology!!
